Bloodstone - Jumbo Tumbled

Bloodstone - green jasper with speckles of red iron oxide - is a wonderful blood cleansing stone. It is sometimes known as Heliotrope, as ancient cultures believed the power of the sun (helio) was reflected in these stones.

Bloodstone, like hematite, is a grounding stone, and can be used to work through healing issues with menstruation, or other blood-related ailments. Ancient people believed that the red specks were the blood of Christ and that bloodstone could stop hemorraghing just by touching it to someone's body.

It is also said to bring people courage and to help bring out your heart's desire.

These stones are approximately the size of a small fist - they are meant to fit comfortably in the palm of your hand. All will vary in size, shape and color, as each is completely unique.
