Bodhi Tingsha

Each of our tingsha chimes are individually sand-cast at the Lingtsang Tibetan refugee colony in northern India. Artisans there use a special 7-metal bell alloy to produce a powerful harmonic resonance.

Each tingsha is hand tuned and has a unique sonic "voiceprint." Tingsha are commonly embellished with symbolic motifs such as Buddhist mantras or dragons.

Usage: To produce a clear harmonic sound, dangle each cymbal from the connecting cord just above the point where it enters the top. Strike the edges together and allow them to ring until silent.

Tingsha may be used to begin and end a meditation or class, for musical accompaniment or as a decorative element in your home. They are traditionally used in ritual ceremonies for Tibetan Buddhist practice.
