Merkabas are star-shaped tetrahedrons consisting of two interpenetrating three-sided pyramids that essentially form a Star of David.
The term Merkaba means "chariot" in Hebrew. In ancient Egypt, it meant "rotating fields of light" (mer), "spirit" (ka), and "soul" (ba). (C. Carnival.)
